I highly recommend this to anyone who has faced, or is facing, moving forward after the ‘loss’ of their child. I’m thankful and blessed to have found this wonderful group, who none of us would have chosen to be eligible to be a member. Reading each of these stories about the journey they’ve taken to reach a point of really living after their most devastating losses, is so inspiring for the rest of us. Finding this group gave me hope that I would be able to go on and have a continued relationship with my son. Our children continue to be part of our lives and, I, for one, but not the only one, so grateful for Elisabeth Boisson, Mark Ireland and the other brave parents who took their experiences and chose to help others. What a heartbreaking journey it is to lose your child and it still is at times, now mixed in with periods of joy when I know beyond a doubt my son is still with me! I personally know many of these parents and their stories; this book gives absolute validation for life beyond life. I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s time we change the way we view death and reframe our understanding of grief and how to live a meaningful life after great loss. This book does exactly that. These are true accounts of signs families have received from their children from the other side. As a mother who has two children who have passed, I have received, and continue to receive, numerous signs from my children to let me know they are still with me. Helping Parents Heal is an amazing non-profit organization that helps parents to know what signs to look for, and to have the knowledge that their child/children are very much still with them. I found this amazing documentary Life to Afterlife: Mom can you hear me? Immediately after watching, I searched for the HPH page on Facebook. I have to say HPH saved me. I was deeply grieving. They helped me identify the signs and to keep my heart and mind open to receive them. Both HPH and my daughter's many signs have been helping me heal. It was a year before I came across the Helping Parents Heal organization, how I wish I'd found it so much earlier, but things are meant to happen I've since learned when theyre supposed to. With all the tremendous resources available to the parents to begin to learn and understand, where our children/loved ones really are and how we can still have a beautiful, albeit different relationship with them, brings us from bereaving parents to Shining Light ones. We can and do heal, with our kids by our side, the support of other parents, and all the knowledge provided to us, and this beautiful book clearly shows us this with the incredible individual stories.
